Author - pseud. and crypt: impartial citizen; O. P., (born November 9, 1750 in Kopina, Lublin province, died February 12, 1802 in Lviv) was a prominent historian and lawyer, piarist, professor at the Collegium Nobilium and the Corps of Cadets. At the king's request, he compiled a detailed material inventory for the seventh and eighth volumes of Volumina legum. For this work he was awarded the royal medal "Merentibus". By the Four-Year Sejm, he was appointed to the code deputation, which was to lay out the civil and criminal code. This commission was chaired by Hugo Kołłątaj, then the Sub-Chancellor of the Crown.
The offered work is a monumental study of Polish law.
