2nd Edition A comprehensive panorama of the Polish state at the time of the First Republic on the eve of its disintegration, already having documentary value due to the disappearance of many manuscripts on which the author relied. Korzon occupies one of the most serious places among Polish historians. He forged new paths for historical research: he was the first to begin to take into account in his historical works the administrative, economic, financial, population conditions in which the nation found itself at the moment of the past he was recounting. In recognition of his scientific activity, the Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cracow appointed him as its member.
Numerous fold-out illustrations and maps, including color. Rich iconography.
Condition DB=/small abrasions of bindings, edge tears of pieces of the appendices, quite a NICE piece.
