"The Krozan case has been extensively written about by Polish and foreign dailies, even several brochures and books have been published, describing the course of these terrible incidents and the court - over the victims of the crime, however, what has been announced about the case so far has been based largely on witnesses' stories, on insufficiently verified villages, on casual accounts of the court sessions, which was the epilogue of the martyrdom story of Krozan. It is only now that a book has been published in Cracow, which sheds light on the main moments of the case, clarifies what was previously unclear or doubtful, and states what was uncertain. In addition to a brief introduction about Krozny's past, the book, P r o c e s s Krozny in front of the Vilna courtroom, contains: the indictment, testimonies of witnesses in the investigation and in court, speeches of the prosecutor and defense attorneys in verbatim or summarized, court session transcripts, the resolution and motives of the verdict and other official material in the case, and finally numerous appendices. The latter are perhaps the most important part of the book, and I would say the most interesting, if that word did not offend its tragic content. These are the requests of the Krozan paratians to swap churches, the opinions of the governor-general on the matter, his resolutions, the tsarist orders, the official report on the incidents and the description of the incidents made in prison by the defendants, the exact lists of the victims and two characteristic letters . Orzevsky to the Minister of the Interior and the President of the Judicial Chamber, and Stadolsky to the Minister of Justice."
