in Lviv 1861, published by the author, pp. 386 + 402 + 384 + 396; format 14.5x22 cm
The author's greatest work, its first three-volume edition was published in Lviv in 1855-1856; the second, which the author considered only correct, four-volume edition was accompanied by an "Introduction" - in 1861. "The impression made by this work and its readership were extraordinary. It was read with interest and sometimes outright delight by both scholarly people and the widest circles of the less sophisticated public. Szajnocha's popularity in the field of history resembled that of Henryk Sienkiewicz in the field of literature." Source: wikipedia.org.
