ABOUT SPIRITUAL POWER
Warsaw [1820], pp. 183 [1], format 10.5x18 cm
Wojciech Józef Skarszewski coat of arms Leszczyc (born November 10, 1743, died June 12, 1827 in Warsaw) - Roman Catholic bishop, diocesan bishop of Chelm in 1791-1805, diocesan bishop of Lublin in 1805-1824, metropolitan archbishop of Warsaw and primate of the Kingdom of Poland in 1824-1827, great writer of the crown, subchancellor of the crown.
The bishop seemed to tolerate the widespread influence of freemasonry in his territory. Even in the year of the suppression of religious orders, he seems to have been willing to cooperate with the authorities on complaints by Freemasons against priests who condemned them. In the end, however, he cited Clement XII's 1738 bull banning Catholics from belonging to Freemasonry.
