Six plates and the cover illustration multicolored, the rest monochromatic.
The plates are titled in order: I. Jozef Pilsudski in maciejówka, II. Departure from Oleandrów 1914, III. Magdeburg, IV. Bat, V. On the Bridge, VI. Belvedere redoubt, VII. Witos, VIII. Peace or war, IX. Grażyński, X. Jedynka. Thelist of plates on the title page shows the Polish Sphinx as Plate I, but the portrait of Pilsudski in a maciejówka is not included.
G. Rogalski (1887-1939) - Polish cartoonist, caricaturist, football player. He studied fine arts in Germany, was a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and a teacher of drawing in Cracow schools. He published the satirical magazine "Rogaty" and the biweekly "Karykatury". Among other things, he depicted Marshal Pilsudski in caricature. He was a footballer, playing the position of goalkeeper in the Cracovia and Wisla clubs in Cracow. He died shot by the Germans on December 24, 1939 in Przegorzaly, near Krakow. (Wikipedia).
