Lukian of Samosat(y) (actually: Gr. Lukianós, Latin Lucianus, Polish Lucian, c. 120 to c. 190) - Roman rhetorician and satirist, writing in Greek, sophist. He probably died in Athens. He is considered the founder of social satire.
