Lengnich Gotfried - a teacher at the Gymnasium of Danzig, lawyer, historian. He undertook research on the law of the Kingdom of Poland, Royal Prussia and Danzig. Between 1718 and 1719 he published in Danzig the first historical journal in the Polish lands , Polonische Bibliothek, in which he mainly published his own scientific and legal treatises. He was an important figure in the history of Danzig, not only as a participant in important political events, but also as an author of studies, allowing one to learn and understand events that were history in his time. Public Law of the Kingdom of Poland was for many years a textbook of Polish law and provided a source base for historians.
