Volume IV of Zbigniew Herbert's poetry, dedicated to the Poet's father. Half of the works had already been completed five years before the volume was published, and were printed in London on a small printing press, in the number of several dozen pieces by Magdalena and Zbigniew Czajkowski - Herbert's friends. Although the publisher's metric bears the notation "Edition II," the volume is in fact the first edition.
