, "As we mentioned above, the publishing house Księgami Michal Kowalski, clearly preferring the least censoriously troublesome literature for younger children, did not forget about the slightly older reader, to whom adventure fiction was offered. September 1943 saw the publication of DanielDefoe's The Adventures of Robinson Kruzoe in a new adaptation by Jerzy Grzybowski, unknown before the war, this time appearing under the admittedly transparent pseudonym of Jerzy Grzybek. The publisher's publicity notes indicate that the book was aimed at both a youth and adult audience - "a large number of readers who will want to refresh for themselves the moving memories of their youth." One has to admit that Grzybowski's adaptation was done neatly, providing sui generis competition to the well-known adaptation by Władysław Ludwik Anczyc, which also functioned in the open book circulation of the GG.''
