Senses, senses is a collection of columns written by Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński on the subject of various issues related to sexuality: contraception and abortion, but also sexual education, youth awareness and partnership relations of young people.
Boy, known for his masterful columns, touches on topics related to physical love in a way that is free of unnecessary prudery, though elegant, humorous and light-hearted, but hard hitting on 20th century realities. The author criticizes the strictly conservative and unyielding position, reproaching the Church for marginalizing difficult situations, failing to see real social problems and failing to respond to real human needs. He opposes a hostile stance toward homosexuals and wishes to recognize that young people are taking up sex life earlier and earlier, making them in need of professional guidance rather than punishment and shaming. Tadeusz Boy-Zeleński's voice was one of the loudest in the early 20th century on the issue of sexuality and the laws and customs associated with it.
